SILVER SILHOUETTES

JR Sterling's second short film, Silver Silhouettes, puts together a young, destitute dancer, an army veteran, an uncompassionate judge and a jealous handler in a complex, dramatic tale of the pursuit of freedom.

WHY THIS STORY IS RELEVANT

- Out of many, one struggle -

"My reason for making this film was to shine light on the commonality of the emotional struggles faced by different sectors of society. My main character, Zandria, portrayed by Yendi Phillipps, wants freedom - she wants her children back and to be free from Bad Tony (Kadeem Wilson). JB (Glen "Titus" Campbell) wants to get over a war fought decades ago. Bad Tony wants freedom from his insecurities and a financial payout. The Judge (Andrew Brodber) wants to develop empathy - something he did not get from his parents.

The dramatic question is, "Will Zandria be free from Bad Tony and get her children?" This film represents my debut in directing and is my second published work as a writer."
